Quality of work life & change
In Through the Looking-Glass, Alice discovers a world where the scenery moves with her. She must keep running to stay in place, acting simply to remain standing in a moving environment. Organisations face the same constant race: adapting to regulation, new competitors, working methods, suppliers and coordination between teams. Survival requires adaptation and resistance: resilience.
These inseparable concepts reinforce each other. Adapting means understanding our experiences deeply and accepting constraints. Resilience means maintaining critical thinking and innovation by acting on what we can influence while accepting what we cannot.
